Junior A condensed version of the LP, this slab of doom really packs a punch. It already has my favorites from that release but with a very different path after I Wait - a little extra room to breathe. Great change-ups in the vocals too from raspy howls, to low guttural growls, to harmonized chants. Favorite track: The Moment.

Maxwell Heilman Doom Metal is known for doing a lot with a little, and BW embodies that principle gloriously. The fact this band only consists of a bass player and a drummer and still delivers evocative, euphonic music is baffling to me. I recommend you watch a concert video of this band or see them play live in order to understand how inventive the bass player is as he simultaneously plays the melodic, harmonic, and cord structure of the songs. I like this more than the LP. It is true Sludge/Doom sublimity. Favorite track: Mayknow.

Paul I've heard a few snippets of Bell Witch's debut. I'm interested in testing things out with this demo.

Seattle based duo BELL WITCH have, since their inception in 2010, carved a unique niche in the metal scene. Utilising only bass, drums and vocals to create a mournful, melodic take on minimalism and an ethereal but crushing approach to magnitude.
Their most recent LP, Four Phantoms (Profound Lore) was recorded by Billy Anderson and is their most focused, structured and melancholy release to date.
